Doug Pearce

CEO, Omnicom Media Group Greater China

As CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Greater China, Doug leads 1,500+ media professionals across 3 media agencies, OMD, PHD and NIM Digital in China, Hong Kong & Taiwan. He believes talent is the core to the company’s ability to deliver high performance results for clients and strives to create a working environment that enables our talent to grow and flourish.
 
With over 25 years’ experience, 10 of them China based, Doug has helped to build some of the world’s biggest brands across a wide variety of categories. A rare combination, Doug has led both creative and media agencies including Starcom Greater China and Leo Burnett Shanghai, together with 4 years consulting to clients on improving their media ROI at Accenture, where he was the Asia Pacific lead. 
 
Doug has a BA and a Diploma in Marketing. Apart from being an active participant in industry associations and educational programs, he is also a former Board Member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

Aaron Wild

CEO, OMD China

As the CEO of OMD China, Aaron is responsible for OMD China's assets nationally and leads a workforce of over 900 staff. 

Wild’s experience is broad and spans various countries, cultures and disciplines. Over the past 25 years he has worked on a number of high profile brands throughout the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East region including Procter & Gamble, Unilever, VW, Coca –Cola, Nissan, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oreal, Adidas and Motorola. 

Wild is no stranger to China, having previously lived in Guangzhou where he ran Procter & Gamble for Zenith and then moved to Shanghai to become GM of Universal McCann from 2000-2003. Prior to joining OMD as CEO China in May 2017 Aaron was at PHD as China MD 2010-2013 before being promoted to PHD CEO where he oversaw the agency’s strongest period of growth, doubling the size of the China business in 3 years.

Aaron and his wife Nicola have just welcomed identical twin boys into the world, Hugo and Monty who join their older children Jackson and Zoe. When Aaron is not working he likes to play golf and collect wine, although that has now been replaced with nappy changing and sleeping whenever there is an opportunity.

Chief Growth Officer and Managing Director, Beijing and Guangzhou

Weibin Zou,Chief Growth Officer and Managing Director for OMD China's Beijing and Guangzhou office.
 
Since joining OMD China in 2004, Weibin has continuously driven business momentum and been a key player in helping the agency land blue-chip clients such as Amway, DPCA, Yili, China Telecom, PICC and Lining amongst others. In his new role as Chief Growth Officer for OMD China, Weibin makes efforts to transform the agency's service and product to solve clients business challenges and keep OMD's competitive edge in the industry.
 
He was credited by Campaign Asia as Greater China New Business Development Person of the Year Award. He has worked with OMD & PHD global account shadow team in NY/Chicago/LA offices for 10 weeks and took CEIBS master degree in 2015.
 
An 22-year media veteran, Weibin joined OMD China from ZenithMedia where he worked in senior roles.

THE OMD EXPERIENCE
When I first joined OMD, there were only 3 people on the team and now we have grown to more than 10. Together with the team and business growth, I have experienced the most rapid growth period in my career, not only in my position but also in my personal development.
 
EXTRACURRICULARS
In my leisure time, I enjoy having dinner with my friends, catching films with my family, or karaoke with the team. I believe communication with friends and family can strengthen the relationship with them.
 
CAREER POSSIBILITIES
Media planning is still a core concept in a media agency but digital planning is becoming increasingly important as digital is becoming more mainstream in our daily life.

I worked as a part-time business editor during and after my Master’s study in London. When I came back to China 2 years ago, I decided to try something more challenging. I ended up at OMD and have experienced many great things. 
 
THE OMD EXPERIENCE
The “keep learning” environment makes you feel “it’s forward or fall”. Surrounded by smart and humorous people, I’m encouraged by two things 1. Share your ideas as they will be polished by the team; 2. Don’t be a boring person.
 
EXTRACURRICULARS
We eat of course! It’s fun to explore good restaurants and share the experience with others. Jokes and laughter are the best side dishes. You would be surprised how often great thoughts and creative tactics are born out of a good meal.
 
CAREER POSSIBILITIES
The internal professional training programs really work for me. These courses either prepare me to face new challenges in professional areas or allow to me to think outside of the boundaries.

INSPIRATION TACTICS
I love to watch multi-cultural films from all around the world, they help to stimulate my creativity. I also play basketball with friends and colleagues, and enjoy the collaboration of teamwork.
 
GLOBALIZATION
We worked with multiple teams from other regions on creating a multi-screen planning framework in China. We shared our experience with the teams from Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, UK, UAE, HK and Singapore.

I was in Australia to finish my Bachelor’s degree before returning to China. After my study was finished, I tried to find a job related to my major, so I joined OMD and started off as my first job.

It is an awesome experience working at OMD. My colleagues here are very friendly. They are all young and inspired. I'm very happy to work here. “A happy worker is a productive worker”. I feel energetic to do my job every day and I like it.

EVOLUTION
OMD offers a lot of internal training sessions every month, and my favorite program is called “Thought Bubbles” where I can learn a bunch of new ideas and thoughts from many industry gurus.

Usually the mornings at OMD start with a cup of coffee and a bunch of laughters. People gather together sharing their news and interesting things. Harmonious working atmosphere makes employees stay in good mood all day so that we can work more efficiently.
