Tim Griffiths

Managing Director

Tim is a founder member of OMD and has grown the company from seven people to more than 40. His inclusive leadership style has inspired a team of passionate, imaginative and dedicated people that is determined to deliver market-leading work, in partnership with our clients.  

Tim has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of roles working in agencies in both London and Dublin. He was a founder member and Managing Director of Initiative Dublin and has worked on a wide range of clients including Diageo, Failte Ireland, PepsiCo, Unilever and Vodafone. He has been Managing Director of OMD since 2005 and has led the agency to win Agency of the Year at both the Digital Media Awards and the Media Awards – an Irish media first in itself.

Andrew Sinclair

Deputy Managing Director

Andrew helps steer a market-leading team that is driven to unearth the rich insights that deliver business results for our clients. He has responsibility for trading and investment within OMD, as well as being passionate about our focus on our people and the culture within the agency.  

Andrew’s career spans 18 years in the media industry, with a focus on account management across a wide range of clients from global giants such as Reckitt Benckiser to strong indigenous brands including Barry’s Tea and Flahavan’s. He also has strong credentials in the entertainment sector having worked with different category leaders over the past 12 years. With the increasingly dynamic and complex media market, his role with the trading community provides a clear advantage for our clients.

Alan Daly

Business Director

Within today’s continuously shifting media market, Alan’s role is to keep our client’s brands at the forefront of emerging media. His focus on social media, digital integration and innovation, together with best-in-class offline insight allows him to produce market-leading multimedia campaigns.  

Alan has an in-depth understanding of many categories including Entertainment, FMCG, Retail and Tourism that allows him to bring a rounded approach to delivering on our clients’ business goals. Underpinned by his exceptional approach to client service, he has a proven track record of building brand partnerships, creating winning initiatives and delivering business results. Over his seven years at OMD, Alan has led many key agency accounts including Eason Bookstores, Paddy Power and more.

PERFORMANCE AND OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

In order to be useful, strategic work must supply practical answers to real world problems. Claire is committed to supplying workable solutions that help our clients’ businesses grow. Claire began her career at OMD in 2008 and has rapidly grown into one of our key people. Her strength is in strategy and she believes that our best work comes from thoroughly understanding our clients’ businesses.  

Claire is committed to continually interrogating our thinking in order to deliver better results. In this increasingly complex world, she believes that it will be the marriage of innovative thinking and new technology that will create the leading work of the future.

Greg McConkey

Business Director

Deep and considered consumer understanding is vital to help deliver results for our clients, to exceed their business objectives. Greg has a wealth of experience in exploring and refining consumer insight and in turn developing great strategy for our clients.  

Greg has over 18 years’ industry experience having previously worked in senior positions at both Initiative and PHD. As Deputy Managing Director PHD, he helped establish and develop the company and their innovative and pioneering approach across its portfolio of brands. He was also Deputy Managing Director of Initiative Media, heading up their Consumer Planning unit “insight”. Greg has a track record of success on a range of both local and international clients including Diageo, Ferrero, Irish Dairy Board, Johnson &Johnson, Musgraves and Unilever.

Martina Stenson

Business Director

Martina is responsible for delivering highly effective media communications strategies for a selection of key clients. Working closely with creative, experiential and digital agencies, Martina ensures that the most innovative and effective communications solutions are implemented across all her clients business. Her focus is ensuring delivery of tangible business results.

Martina brings over twenty years’ experience to the role. She joined from UM where she held the position of Managing Director. She played an instrumental role in the successful establishment of the IPG trading division, Magna, in the Irish marketplace, and was a board member of McCann-Erickson Dublin. She has had overall responsibility for the management of market-leading clients including Coca-Cola, H&M, Microsoft and Vodafone.

Helen Beecher

HEAD OF DIGITAL

Helen manages the Digital team at OMD, a team that continually strives to deliver imaginative and innovative solutions. We have a diverse team with an array of specialist skills all focused on delivering our clients goals.

Helen graduated from Dublin City University with a Degree in Business Studies specialising in Marketing and a Masters in Electronic Commerce. For over 10 years she worked for key domestic and multinational brands in a media sales role in both the Irish and UK markets while also successfully leading and developing sales teams. Helen worked for the Irish Times group as well as Yahoo! and Microsoft.

Helen joined OMD in September 2015, in her role of Head of Digital is ensuring integration and effective delivery of digital media as part of our overall media offering. Helen is a active evangelist of digital media and represents OMD on industry bodies such as the Internet Advertising Bureau.

Conor Hanover

Head Of Trading and Accountability

Conor is responsible for OMD Ireland’s trading and accountability. This entails working with the account teams across all clients, to tailor trading solutions to each client’s requirements. Bespoke trading solutions that deliver innovation in our approach, and client’s business results are at the heart of OMD Ireland’s trading and accountability philosophy.    

Conor joined OMD in 2013 and has worked for over 15 years in advertising. Having previously worked in a creative agency, in both account management and trading, Conor has experience across a broad range of disciplines and understands how trading and results-based solutions impact on all areas of our business and our client’s businesses.

Carolyn Odger

COMMUNICATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Carolyn’s career started in Leo Burnett, London, becoming a Board Director looking after McDonald’s and then the Sainsbury’s account.  Moving to Dublin 16 years ago she turned to the client side – as Senior Planner in Diageo on Spirits and Social Responsibility.  Returning to the agency world 4 years later as Strategy Director at Chemistry – combining this rule with client service lead on accounts such as Evian and Coors Light. In 2011 she moved to OMD - as Business Director on Vodafone. Carolyn also has responsibility for training in OMD

THE OMD EXPERIENCE
Working in OMD is a great experience, all areas of the business work closely together and there is always a great atmosphere in the office. Every employee is encouraged to be a part of all elements of the business. This open approach is really motivating and provides a challenging yet enjoyable environment for all employees.

EVOLUTION
The open nature of OMD allows everyone to ask any member of staff a question if you don’t understand something. This has allowed me to upskill in the world of Search, Digital and programmatic. I’ve also had the opportunity to develop by attending a number of training sessions such as Design and Innovation thinking and this has allowed me to grow further.

DIVERSE EXPERIENCES
So far I have been lucky to work across a number of sectors from FMCG, Charity, Bookmakers and Entertainment. What’s great about this is that all clients are different and all audiences consume media differently so you are always looking a new ways to improve your clients business.

JOURNEY
Prior to OMD I completed a four degree in Marketing at the Dublin Institute of Technology, after which I worked with a PR agency and that same year completed a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing at the Dublin Marketing Institute. 

TYPICALLY UNIQUE
No one day is ever the same. Although the crux of what we do doesn’t change drastically each day there are always new challenges which for me makes what we do exciting. A typical day could involve client meetings, supplier meetings, a team brainstorm, a pizza delivery, a company presentation, the list goes on. 

THE OMD EXPERIENCE
Everyone has a can-do attitude and are willing to work hard, we are constantly learning and a have great fun doing it. On top of that there is a great sense of teamwork in the office which makes any potential challenge easier to face head on (and not on your own!).

THE OMD EXPERIENCE
Although I had worked in the digital marketing sphere before OMD I had to start from the beginning since my job here involves a completely different aspect of the area which I find challenging but also very exciting, especially since we work with some large national and global brands. Since I’ve started working here the organization has grown a lot which I’m happy to see and we’ve had some great mix of people joining our teams which makes the place even more thrilling to work. 

GLOBALIZATION
What’s great about working for a global organization is that you get to share knowledge and best practices with international teams which is definitely an advantage and improves our work..

DIVERSE EXPERIENCES
Some of the most exciting experiences I’ve had with clients are live tweeting/posting from events such as movie premiers/events or more recently The Ploughing which was an intense 3 day social media coverage from a field in the middle of the country. Unforgettable times!

Social Account Director

JOURNEY
Whilst commencing my media degree at DCU, I set up my own beauty business which helped me grasp the basic understandings of business, marketing and of course dealing with clients on a daily bases. Upon completion of my Degree, I left Mollies Makeovers behind as I dived into the world of Media, working for many broadcasters such as TV3, RTE, 98FM and countless independent film organisations. In 2015 my career path completely changed as I ventured down the road of Digital Marketing. Growing up in the ‘digital era’, social media has always interested me, especially the logic and strategy that surrounds these platforms, which has led me to work in OMD Ireland as a Social Media Manager and now Social Media Account Director, where I work on various brand strategies for their social presence. As well as this, I am undertaking a part-time masters in marketing at National College of Ireland where I can explore marketing further in all of its glory.
 
THE OMD EXPERIENCE
The OMD team is like no other, to be a part of such a diverse and motivated community is so refreshing.
 
EVOLUTION
I have been given the opportunity to grow in so many ways here at OMD, not only within the world of social media but also developing further in education, as I am extremely lucky to be given the opportunity to complete an Marketing masters part-time. This along with various training and Industry days have allowed me to develop a way of thinking socially.
