Hamid’s area of expertise lies in strategic thinking, fuelled by insight and culminating in industry-leading creative results for our clients. Together with Rian Shah, he tackles the overall strategy, innovation, insight and creative output of OMD UK.
After deciding that life as a nightclub owner wasn’t for him, Hamid began his 16 years in the media world working with brands such as Playstation and Kit Kat with the UK’s first PR agency dedicated to the youth market. Since then, he has worked client-side at MTV and Nickelodeon, before moving back to agency life for a 7-year stint at ZenithOptimedia, followed by a year at Havas Media. During his time at both agencies, clients such as L’Oreal, EDF Energy, Compare the Market and Superdrug benefitted from his experience and expertise. During their career as strategic partners, Hamid and Rian have worked together on campaigns that have won Media Week, Campaign Magazine and Cannes Lion awards, and Hamid has been named one of Campaign’s top 10 media planners in the U.K.
