OMD Australia has today announced changes to its agency structure and the promotion of six key leadership team members from within.
The changes are a strategic evolution that build on the foundation and legacy of two cornerstones of OMD’s business, trading and digital, to take the agency and its partners forward into the future.
Leveraging its mature omni-channel model, OMD has evolved the trading landscape into ‘investment strategy’. This will retain the agency’s core differentiator of a client-centric transparent approach to trading whilst bolstering capacity to develop omni-channel strategies that navigate the increasingly fragmented market.
OMD’s digital landscape has evolved into ‘transformation’ which encompasses ‘performance’. Transformation is focused on driving outcomes for OMD’s clients through the leveraging of data and technology applied to the whole of marketing, future proofing their businesses through a clear program of work that navigates the complexity of the volatile tech landscape and mitigates risk.
In line with OMD’s commitment to invest in long-term career growth for its people, six key leadership roles that will support the new structure have been appointed by elevating from within.
Following their dual promotion to national leadership roles in 2021, Marelle Salib and Alison Costello have been promoted to Chief Investment Officer and Chief Transformation Officer respectively and will join OMD’s national executive team.
With over 22 years of industry experience, Salib has been a key member of the OMD investment team for the past 12 years. Her passion for investment has been critical in delivering partnerships of value and driving innovation for OMD’s client and media partners.
Costello has a passion for simplifying digital and data. With over 17 years of experience in the media industry, she has spent the past four years at OMD helping teams and clients capitalise on the ever-evolving digital and data landscape whilst continually preparing for industry changes and new innovations.
Sian Whitnall, co-CEO of OMD Australia, says; “We are committed to the continued evolution of OMD with new capabilities and solutions that address the diversifying needs of our partners to achieve their growth ambitions. It is this continual journey that will ensure we maintain our strong and longstanding partnerships with some of Australia’s most successful and progressive brands. Having the opportunity to elevate exceptional talent from within to lead these capabilities makes us incredibly proud. Marelle and Alison’s fresh perspectives, backed with outstanding capability, will make them a fantastic addition to our national executive team.”
Bolstering OMD’s investment leadership, Jane Combes has been promoted to National Head of Strategic Investment and Partnerships and will report into Salib.
Embedded within OMD’s transformation community is the agency’s ‘performance’ team with Nicholas Chin promoted to National Head of Performance and Campaign Operations to lead this offering, reporting into Costello.
Also supporting Costello across the national transformation community, Taylor Svarc has been promoted to Group Head of Transformation, Melbourne and Brisbane and Tom Kirkham to Head of Transformation, Sydney.
