We’re proud to announce at last night’s prestigious Campaign Media Week Awards, our UK teams had huge success with OMD UK being crowned Media Agency of the Year and MG OMD being recognised as the Best Agency Partner and the most awarded agency of the night including the Grand Prix.
The industry awards which celebrate the best media campaigns, agencies, and teams over the past 12 months saw the leading agencies collect 21 accolades between them.
OMD UK’s Agency of the Year win was credited to ‘The OMD Way’, part of their pitch win, and saw them win the biggest private sector pitch of the year in 2021 for Compare the Market.
The agency also scooped 2 silver and 2 bronze awards for their campaigns with Google, Bacardi, and Childline throughout the event.
MG OMD was recognised as the most awarded agency partner, with 9 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze wins across campaigns for Specsavers, Ring, Virgin Media, O2, John Lewis Partnership, NHS England, and Capita.
“Ring my bell and Saturday Night Takeaway”, by ITV and MG OMD for Ring, was the most successful individual campaign claiming 6 of the above awards, including the Grand Prix.
Not just being recognised for the success of their work, Natalie Bell, CEO of Manning Gottlieb OMD was named Media Leader of the Year for “taking MG OMD to new heights after a stellar year” and MG OMD were crowned an additional prize as Best Agency Partner, which is judged by the media owners on the Media Week Awards jury.
